Ramgopal varma inspired by Superstar

Ram Gopal Varma who creates contraversies has gone on record to say that an item song in his film Department, is inspired from Rajinikanth’s Aasai Nooruvagai number from the film Adutha Varisu. The Hindi song Dan Dan Cheeni features Rana Dagubatti and Sanjay Dutt dancing with item girl, Nathalia Kaur – an Indo – Brazilian beauty.

At RGV’s insistence, composers Dharam – Sandeep added a 30 second line from the original to their own composition. Ganesh Acharya is doing the choreography. RGV said that the Aasai Nooruvagai song is one of his favorites and Dan Dan Cheeni is his way of paying tribute to it.
