Disappoint for Chiranjeevi and Balayya

This bi-election results had not only resulted in disappointment for major political parties in AP but also for film stars like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Chiranjeevi had been the star campaigner for Congress in this selection. Congress had lost deposit in 9 places. Adding insult to injury, Congress lost the Tirupati seat which was vacated due to Chiranjeevi getting nominated to Rajya Sabha.
Things were not different for Chiranjeevi’s counter part, Nandamuri Balakrishna too. The actor had recently announced that he will be contesting from Telugu Desam Party in 2014 general elections.Since then, he is taking active part in party affairs. He had recommended two candidates for this bi-elections, one from Anantapur and other from Macherla. But both of them lost in the elections. The Telugu Desam party had failed to get single seat in this election.
Balayya who is now in Switzerland for the shooting for Srimannarayana was reportedly worried about the results and is in constantly in touch with NTR Bhavan enquiring about the election updates.
