Giuliana & Bill Rancic Decide On Baby Boy Names

Unlike many other celebs, the Rancics — who are expecting a baby boy via surrogacy — want to take a more traditional approach to a baby name! Find out what we learned exclusively!

Giuliana & Bill Rancic recently had a baby shower to announce the sex of their new baby. After the party, the couple took a long stroll discussing baby names and more! Also, find out what Bill shared exclusively with HollywoodLife.com about what name he absolutely will not be naming his baby boy!

Bill said to us, “If it’s a boy’s name we’re not going to do a Junior.” He explained, ” I have a theory on that. I think if you’re going to give somebody your name I think you’ve got to earn it.”

Bill continued, “So if my child wanted to name their son after me then I’ve earned it. They’re proud of me, they’re proud to give their child that name, but I would never force that on them.”

In a separate report, Giuliana and Bill spill more baby name details. “We walked almost an hour and a half,” said Giuliana, 37, to PEOPLE on June 20.

Although the couple haven’t settled on a name,“we have a short list,” she continued.

“We’re going for traditional but not commonly used,”explains Giuliana.“None of those Hollywood names. It won’t be anything like Stereo System or Flag.”

Not only do the duo want to stick to traditional names but also a traditional style for their soon to be son.

“There was a baby boy at the shower wearing a fedora,” said Giuliana.

Bill, 41, exclaims,“Yeah, not my son.”

Giuliana adds,“the baby didn’t seem to like it. If I have a girl one day then I’ll have a lot of fun dressing her up. She’ll have an edgy style.”

The baby is due this August and will be born in Colorado.

Giuliana said, “Our surrogate is in Colorado and we don’t want to take her away from home.”

Yet, once the baby is born he will travel with the couple to Chicago then to LA. Bill explains,“My parents brought us everywhere, every vacation, every dinner.”

Bill continues, “That’s what we’re going to do with the baby.”

Giuliana and Bill have high hopes for their little guy.

“Bill wants an NFL player,” said Giuliana. Bill adding, “Or a CEO.”

But in all seriousness Bill continues,“Honestly, I just want a healthy baby.”
