Rajamouli on small films

The ace director SS Rajamouli, who is all set to theater his Eega on July 6 is spilling beans on the films that are made with small budgets.

Rajamouli says, “It is not so easy to make successful films with small budgets. As they doesn’t have big stars as well as high budgets, which make a way to draw crowds to the theaters. Lot of intelligence needed to grab audiences purely on the merit of story, which is not easy.”

Queried on why he chose Eega as his immediate next, Rajamouli said “The above reasons attracted me to experiment after Maryada Ramanna with Sunil and Saloni. I took Eega as a challenge to make a small film, but it is no longer a small film. Eega grew up in size with costs in budget and finally concept matters, after I believed in the potential of the script,” concluded Rajamouli.
