Nithya Menon is an Indian actress, who works mainly in the Malayalam film industry. Nithya menon has also acted in Telugu and Tamil films, besides trying Nithya menon hand at playback singing. Nithya Menon was born on 21 October 1988 in Calicut, Kerala, India.

Nithya Menon has a degree in Journalism from Manipal Institute of Communication. Nithya menon showcased her acting skills in themovie Aakasha Gopuram with Mohanlal, directed by national award winning director K. P. Kumaran.

Nithya Menon, however, appeared first on screen as a child artiste when Nithya menon was eight in the Indian English language film, Hanuman (1998), playing the younger sister to Tabu's character. The 2008 off-beat film Aakasha Gopuram, directed by National Film Award-winning director K. P. Kumaran, marked Nithya menon debut in a leading role, in which Nithya menon was red with Mohanlal. Nithya menon was in the midst of her 12th class exams when Nithya menon was offered the role, after Mohanlal had spotted her on the front cover of a tourism magazine

Nithya Menon quotes "It happened very strangely and was almost like destiny. I was in the middle of my 12th exams when I had appeared on the cover of a tourism book. Mohanlal saw thepicture and I got a call from the film's director. He talked to me and was convinced I was the one for the role. Everything happened very quickly."

For her first telugu movie Ala Modalaindi, Nithya menon sang two numbers. The makers actually wanted her for one song but they made her sing the second.Nithya menon is paired with hanuman in the film directed by Nandini Reddy.

Nithya Menon also acted in Kannada Movie "Josh" directed by Shivamani which was a big hit in industry.

Nithya Menon is currently working on half-a-dozen projects; Karmayogi, a Malayalam adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet and the Gautham Menon-produced Veppam, her first Tamil film, are in post-production stages, while she is currently shooting for three films, Sibi Malayil's Violin, ad-filmmaker Jayendra's bilingual venture 180, in which she plays a photo journalist, and the Kannada film Jogayya, simultaneously. Reportedly, Nithya menon has also been roped in Trivikram Srinivas's upcoming Telugu film, which stars Venkatesh
