Prabhas Raju Uppalapati, popularly known as Prabhas is a Tollywood actor and the nephew of Tollywood star and politician Krishnam Raju Uppalapati. Prabhas Raju Uppalapati was born on 23rd October 1976 to Siva Kumari and the late U. Suryanarayana Raju in Chennai, India. prabhas family is from Mogalturru near Bhimavaram. He is the second of three children. He has one brother, Prabodh, and a sister, Pragathi. prabhascurrently lives in Hyderabad, India. His height 6' 2"

Prabhas started his movie career with Eshwar in 2002 about a poor boy falling in love with a rich girl. In 2003, prabhas was seen as the lead in Raghavendra. Both did not do well at the box office.

Varsham (2004) reversed his fortunes. Prabhas was cast opposite Trisha Krishnan. The film went on to become a huge hit. Then he acted under the direction of B. Gopal in Adavi Ramudu, which miserably failed at the box office. In Krishna Vamsi’s Chakram (2005) prabhas played a cancer patient, which performed moderately at the box office. However Chatrapathi (2005), in which prabhas played a rebel, with Shriya Saran was a monumental blockbuster.

The movies which followed like Pournami (2006), Yogi, Munna (2007) and Bujjigadu (2008)which was directed by puri jagannadh however failed to leave an impact at the box office.

In 2009 Prabhas was seen in Billa, which is a reworked telugu version of the hugely successful bollywood film Don. The movie stars Anushka Shetty and Namitha and also Hansika Motwani doing an item number. prabhas shared screen space for the first time with his real life uncle, Krishnam Raju Uppalapati. The movie turned out to be an average one. In 2009 Ek nirajan with kangana ranuth The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and is the second film with the combination of this director and Prabhas. In 2010 Prabhas was seen in darling under the direction of karunakaran.. this had been a big hit in telugu film industry Under the famous actors like Tamil actor prabhu… Recently Mr Perfect which is a romantic love story directed by dasaradh with a family drama based movie in which, chemistry between Prabhas, Kajal and Tapsee will be highlight of the movie.
